Every case submitted to Human Identification Technologies, Inc. is managed by a single forensic scientist.  This practice safeguards against handling errors that can occur when multiple scientists are involved in a case.  Furthermore, our clients can count on working with one expert from the testing through testimony phases.

Human Identification Technologies, Inc. utilizes Short Tandem Repeat (STR) testing based on the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR).  Using fluorescence detection, 16 different DNA locations are analyzed.  This includes the 13 locations used by the FBI’s Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) to standardize DNA testing so that results from different laboratories can be compared.  Two additional locations satisfy standardization guidelines of Interpol as well as the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI).
